Fudgy Walnut Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup California walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper or oil.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar, then add vanilla and eggs, mix well.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet using a spatula.
  5. Fold in chocolate and walnuts.
  6. Spread into the baking pan.
  7. Bake 27–35 minutes, depending on desired fudginess:
  8. Let cool in the pan at least 45–60 mins before cutting (the hardest part, we know).
