Strawberry Walnut Date Smoothie

Ingredients

Walnut Cream

  • 1½ cups California walnuts
  • 1½ cups water

Smoothie

  • 1½ cups strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • ½ cup California walnuts
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or one 5.3 oz cup)
  • ½ cup walnut cream (plus 1 tsp for garnish)
  • 3 Medjool dates, pitted

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Walnut Cream

Add the walnuts and water to a high-speed blender. Start blending on low speed, then gradually increase to high. Blend for about 3 minutes, or until completely smooth and creamy.

Step 2: Blend the Smoothie

In a blender, combine the strawberries, walnuts, Greek yogurt, walnut cream, and dates. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Serve

For a simple but elegant touch, drizzle 1 teaspoon of walnut cream along the inside of your serving glass. Pour in the smoothie and serve immediately.
